Piano Lessons in Reading

Welcome to Piano Lessons Reading! Andrew has spent the last twenty years as a professional musician, playing piano and keyboards or conducting numerous professional productions, from Queen's We Will Rock You to the Michael Jackson musical, Thriller as well as Disney's The Lion King. He has produced and performed in concerts and cabarets all over the world and also enjoys arranging and writing music at his home in Reading.

Alongside this career, Andrew has also enjoyed teaching piano and music theory to a small number of students privately, from complete beginners to advanced students. His teaching style is largely to adapt to the student's needs and ambitions. He has a 100% success rate with exam entries so far, but many people just enjoy learning for the sake of playing; other students may wish to hone their skills with a view to playing professionally, most are somewhere in between. Either way, having a piano teacher is a very personal thing that requires both trust and respect in both directions. For that reason, it is important to get to know your teacher and to be sure they understand what your personal needs are. Whether you just want to play your favourite songs, study towards exams, brush up on music theory or learn to play from chord charts, he is here to help you on your way! To find out more about Andrew's lesson or to book a lesson get in touch via the contact page or call 0118 211 53151.

What I can offer

We can teach students from complete beginners to more advanced students, enabling them to play the songs that they are passionate about. I can teach classical, jazz or rock and pop piano - from Rachmaninov to Elton John and everything in between, ensuring that our lessons are fun and enaging. I teach from a central Reading location, with easy access from public transport and by car.

If you are interested in booking your first lesson, or simply to find out more about my piano lessons, don't hesitate to get in touch!

Andrew is a great piano player, but more importantly he is a great teacher. He encouraged me to learn and be confident in my abilities and that helped me a huge amount. (Sam)
